UPC-A barcode (GTIN-12) consists of 11 digits of data and 1 checksum digit.

Deppending on first digit (prefix), next digits consist:

0, 1, 6, 7, 8 - product, 5 digits - manufacturer code, 5 - digits - product code, 1 checksum,

2 - local use (store/warehouse), 5 cyfr - item number, 1 - digit (weight / price flag), 4 - cyfry - value, 1 checksum,

3 - drugs by National Drug Code number: 10 digits, 1 checksum,

4 - loyalty cards number: 10 digits, 1 checksum,

5 - coupon: 5 digits - coupon code, 1 - digit (percent / price flag), 4 - digits - coupon value, 1 checksum,

You can enter barcodes without checksum digit, generator can calculate itself.

If you are enter less than 11 digits, sufficient number digit 0 is added to complete the code (11 digits).

To generate UPC-A barcode with additional digits specify it as such:

• 12345678901:12

• 12345678901:12345

All characters outside the allowed range will be ignored.

If is possible to compress UPC-A code into UPC-E code, the generator will show UPC-E code.

Example: code UPC-E 01278907 can be encoded as code UPC-A 012000007897.

The generator can create from 1 to 20 barcodes at once.
